How can I differentiate normal Shopify orders from the new exchange orders?
There are two ways you can differentiate your Shopify orders from the new exchange orders in your Shopify dashboard.- Editing your new exchange order name
Under your 'New Exchange Order Name' in your 'Return Settings', we allow you to customize the prefix and/or suffix of your new exchange order so that you can easily identify your new exchange orders from the rest of your orders. For our example below, we have set EX- as a prefix, therefore the new exchange order has been automatically created on Shopify as EX-#1045. This indicates that this order is an exchange order belonging to the original order of #1045.
Should you decide to leave both the prefix and suffix fields empty, the new exchange order will be created on Shopify with a brand new unique order number. For example, in the case below for original order #1045, the new exchange order will then be created as #1046 on Shopify. - Referring to the tags in your Shopify orders dashboard
Regardless of whether the prefix and/or suffix above is set up for your new exchange order, every exchange order that gets automatically created on Shopify will be tagged with for example, 'PostCo360 Exchange for #1045'. This indicates that this order is an exchange order belonging to the original order of #1045.
