What is the difference between same, lower and higher value exchanges?

You can allow a customer to exchange for a completely different product as if they were just requesting a variant exchange. Please note that enabling same product exchange and advanced exchange will only allow customers to go for a product that is of a same value.

To determine how exchanges for products with different price are being handled, please refer to the following:

Same value exchanges

When exchanging for a same price product, customers are allowed to select any item that is of the same value. This is available across all subscription plans.

Lower value exchanges

When exchanging for a lower price product, the remaining balance can be refunded to the customer in the form of a store credit or original payment refund. To enable this setting, go to returns settings, then exchange. Toggle the button and select your preferred refund method (as shown below).

Higher value exchanges

When exchanging for a higher value product, customers are allowed to pay for the price differences upon submitting a return request. Please reach out to your respective account manager or support@postco.co to get this enabled.
