Change your returns window

Your returns window is the maximum number of days after the order is fulfilled that returns and exchanges are allowed. You can configure this value at Return Settings > Return Window:

If a customer tries to return an item that falls outside of the return period, this message will show up:

Due to the fact that PostCo has no control over when the forward delivery will be executed, we want to emphasise that the return window is calculated from the time your customer's orders are fulfilled by you from your Shopify dashboard:

As such, we would advise the following best practices when choosing your returns window:

  • Add a buffer delivery period of 2-3 days to your normal return policy. For example, if you allow 14 day returns, set it to 17 on PostCo 360.
  • Keep your return policy, but only mark the item as fulfilled when the customer or courier has acknowledged that they have received your item.
