Can customers return/exchange the same order multiple times?

If a customer with order #1234 requests an exchange, and receives the new order called EX-#1234, by default they will not be able to submit a return request on EX-#1234. 

However, if you would like like for customers to be able to exchange for exchange orders, they will be able to do so for an unlimited time. Each new exchange order will have an added prefix/suffix, e.g. EX-EX-#1234.
