Return requests that have been received will be shown under this tab.
Return items received at this stage will typically be inspected by your team to make sure they have received the right items or at least in good condition. Once you are satisfied with the return product, you may proceed to Resolve the return request, notifying the customer of their successful return request.
Upon resolving the return requests, you will notice that you would have the option to Auto Restock the items into your Shopify inventory. This will eliminate the manual work of updating your product inventory level and will be especially helpful if you plan to restock items that are still in good resellable condition.
For all refund and store credit requests, you can amend the Item Price (before tax) to reflect the final refund/store credit amount to your customers. The tax amount will be adjusted based on your item price (the tax amount will be adjusted downwards if you decrease your item price BUT will not be adjusted upwards if the item price is increased).
However, take note that you are NOT allowed to refund to your customers' original method of payment at an amount more than the item price that the customer has paid for.
Once confirmed, the return requests will be tagged as 'Completion_automation_ongoing' before moving to the Completed tab.In the event that you have received ineligible return items (wrong products etc), you still have the option to Reject the return request at this stage. Similarly under the Pending stage, you will be prompted to enter the reason of rejection which will be automatically notified to your customers.
